Sheer Cover Makeup is one of the best known Mineral Makeups on the market. It is sold via a Guthy Renker Infomercial only, it is not available in stores or online except from the infomercial site. Leeza Gibbons has served as the Sheer Cover spokesperson for many years.

The Bottom Line: There really is not a clear winner – one is not superior to the other. Both brands have legions of loyal users who wouldn’t switch for anything. Both brands have users that originally used the other brand. It is strictly a personal preference. Both are very high quality mineral makeups from reputable companies. If you are using one but aren’t totally thrilled, you may want to try the other. Don’t forget to share your reviews!

Sheer Cover was originally sold on HSN, but they have been gone from there for several years. I assume Sheer Cover is replacing PurMinerals, which was sold on ShopNBC in the past.

It appears that Sheer Cover may have slightly modified their mineral makeup formulation and that is now may contain Bismuth. The old list of ingredients was:
